Robin Trower took Jimi Hendrix's approach to the Fender Stratocaster and built an entire career from it — not as an imitator but as a developer of the same sonic territory. His 1974 album Bridge of Sighs is the definitive document of what a Strat through a Marshall with a Univibe can sound like when played with genuine commitment. His tone is massive, slow, and heavily modulated — the Univibe pedal and wah working together to create a swirling, almost psychedelic quality that is entirely his own despite its obvious Hendrix debt.
