Moog Taurus Bass Pedals
The Moog Taurus Bass Pedals are a set of foot-operated bass synthesizer pedals that allow musicians to play low bass notes hands-free while playing another instrument. Used extensively in progressive rock and classic rock, they were a signature element of Rush's live sound -- Geddy Lee triggered them with his feet while simultaneously playing bass and keyboards. The Who's Pete Townshend and Yes's Chris Squire also incorporated them. The deep, resonant sub-bass tones they produce are immediately recognizable on records like Rush's YYZ and The Spirit of Radio.
