Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120
The Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120 is a solid-state amplifier legendary for its pristine, crystalline clean tone and lush built-in chorus effect. Featuring two 12-inch speakers and 120 watts of power, the JC-120 produces a sparkling, wide-stereo clean sound that remains unmatched by any other amplifier. Alex Lifeson of Rush made the Jazz Chorus a cornerstone of his rig, using its immaculate cleans for the band's atmospheric passages and blending it with overdriven tube amps for a layered stereo sound. The JC-120's chorus circuit, based on bucket-brigade analog delay chips, has been copied by countless pedal manufacturers but never truly replicated.
