Gretsch White Falcon
The Gretsch White Falcon is a full-hollow body electric guitar first produced in 1954, known for its dramatic white finish, gold hardware, and distinctive Filter'Tron pickups. Designed as a flagship showpiece, it became one of the most visually iconic guitars in rock through players including Billy Duffy of The Cult, Neil Young, and Stephen Stills. Its semi-hollow construction produces a warm, resonant tone with natural compression that distinguishes it from solid-body guitars. Billy Duffy's White Falcon defined The Cult's early sound — every track on Dreamtime and Love was recorded with one, and its percussive warmth is the instrument behind She Sells Sanctuary's opening riff. Gretsch released a Billy Duffy Signature Falcon featuring Baldwin-era styling, white gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, silver-sparkle binding, and custom-wound Black Top Filter'Tron pickups.
