Fender Deluxe Reverb

The Fender Deluxe Reverb is a 22-watt tube combo amplifier that has served as a studio and stage workhorse since 1963. Its onboard spring reverb and tube-driven tremolo provide two essential effects without requiring pedals, while its moderate wattage breaks up at manageable volumes, producing warm overdrive that responds dynamically to playing touch. The amp's single 12-inch speaker delivers enough volume for club stages while remaining practical for recording. Its clean headroom at lower volumes makes it an ideal pedal platform, accepting fuzz, delay, and modulation effects without masking their character. The '65 reissue remains one of Fender's best-selling amps. J Mascis and numerous shoegaze guitarists have used Deluxe Reverbs as the foundation of their heavily effected signal chains.
