Scottish-American alternative rock band built around Shirley Manson's vocals and Butch Vig's production. Vig produced Nirvana's Nevermind before forming Garbage, and the band's blend of rock, electronic, and industrial textures made them one of the most distinctive acts of the late 1990s.
