Zildjian Cymbals
Zildjian is the world's oldest cymbal manufacturer, founded in 1623 in Constantinople. Their cymbals are crafted from a secret alloy formula passed down through generations, producing instruments with complex overtones, brilliant projection, and musical decay. Rob Bourdon of Linkin Park used Zildjian A Custom and K series cymbals, whose bright attack and controlled sustain complemented the band's precise, hard-hitting drumming style. From the explosive crashes on One Step Closer to the nuanced ride work on acoustic tracks, Zildjian cymbals provided the dynamic range Linkin Park's genre-spanning music demanded.
