Tycobrahe Octavia

The Tycobrahe Octavia is a vintage octave-fuzz pedal that generates a note one octave above the input signal, blending it with aggressive fuzz for a searing, synth-like tone. Originally hand-built in small quantities in the early 1970s, the circuit uses germanium diodes for its distinctive, slightly unstable character. Tony Iommi employed the Octavia to add piercing upper harmonics to his solos, cutting through Black Sabbath's wall of sound. Original units are extremely rare and highly valued by collectors.
