Rick Turner Model 1
The Rick Turner Model 1 is a semi-hollow electric guitar with a rotating pickup that allows the player to blend between humbucker and single-coil tones using a single knob. Lindsey Buckingham adopted the Model 1 for its ability to produce both the bright, fingerpicked acoustic-like tones and the cutting electric sounds his playing demands — often within the same song. Turner built the original for Buckingham in the late 1970s, and its mahogany body with maple cap, set neck, and parametric pickup system remain unique in the guitar world.
