The guitar Dr. Know used for most of the landmark CBGB 1982 performance, given to him by Ric Ocasek of The Cars during the recording of Rock for Light. Before this, Dr. Know started on a Bradley Les Paul copy — he switched to the Ovation partly because the Les Paul body shape caused arm and belly rash from the physical intensity of his playing.
