One of Dean Ween's essential vintage pedals. The envelope filter dynamically controls a bandpass filter based on picking dynamics — producing the funky, wah-without-a-foot-wah sound that defined 1970s funk and soul guitar. Melchiondo lists it explicitly in his core pedalboard setup.
