Moog Taurus Bass Pedals

The Moog Taurus Bass Pedals are foot-operated analog synthesizer pedals that produce deep, rumbling bass tones. Originally released in 1975, the Taurus allowed guitarists and keyboardists to add massive low-end synthesizer sounds while keeping their hands free for their primary instrument. Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee of Rush used Taurus pedals extensively during the band's progressive rock era, their thunderous bass notes adding orchestral depth to songs like Xanadu and A Farewell to Kings. The pedals' aggressive analog filters and powerful oscillators created a wall of sub-bass that became a signature element of 1970s and 80s prog rock.
