Martin D-45

The Martin D-45 is the flagship of Martin's dreadnought line, featuring abalone pearl inlay on the top border, rosette, fingerboard, and headstock. Its Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides produce the full bass, clear treble, and singing sustain expected of Martin's finest instruments, with additional projection and tonal complexity beyond the D-28. Neil Young has performed with a pre-war D-45, its vintage tone — opened up over decades of playing — providing the rich, overtone-laden acoustic backdrop for his more delicate songwriting.
