Korg Synthesizer

Korg synthesizers have been at the forefront of electronic music technology since the company's founding in 1962. Matt Bellamy of Muse incorporates Korg keyboards and synthesizers into the band's progressive rock arrangements, using instruments like the Korg MicroKorg and Korg MS-20 to create the atmospheric pads, arpeggiated sequences, and aggressive synth leads that complement the band's heavy guitar sound. The MicroKorg's vocoder function has been used for vocal effects on several Muse tracks, while the MS-20's raw, analog filters provide the cutting synth tones heard across their later albums.
