Gibson ES-345

The Gibson ES-345 is the mid-tier model in Gibson's semi-hollow thinline series, positioned between the ES-335 and ES-355. It features stereo wiring and a Varitone switch that provides six preset tonal positions, offering expanded versatility beyond a standard semi-hollow guitar. Alex Lifeson of Rush used Gibson semi-hollows extensively throughout his career, their warm resonance and articulate attack suiting the progressive rock band's complex arrangements. The ES-345's ability to produce everything from clean jazz voicings to aggressive rock tones made it ideal for Lifeson's genre-spanning style.
