Electro-Harmonix Linear Power Booster

The first fuzz unit Dr. Know ever used — bassist Darryl Jenifer bought it for him in the early days when Bad Brains were still practicing in the basement of a house the band shared, all plugging into one padded Kustom amp. The Linear Power Booster plugged directly into the guitar and was Dr. Know's introduction to fuzz tone. It became part of the foundational Bad Brains sound before the band had access to proper amplification.
