1957 Gibson Les Paul TV Special

Dean DeLeo acquired this guitar just before recording Purple and used it extensively on the album. Fitted with P-90 single-coil pickups, the TV Special has a fundamentally different character from a humbucker-equipped Les Paul — rawer, more midrange-forward, with a natural bite that works differently from the Standard.
